Then there were Three

She started out as my only little one. My first girl, my first baby. I look back at when it was just her and I can’t help but laugh at how “easy” it was. Shopping was easy, the grocery store was effortless, and keeping the house clean was totally bearable. But then…

…#2 came along. Although she is equally as precious and comparably lovable, shopping was a menace, my quiet time diminished and being on time became nearly impossible. And now, there are 3.  My house is a mess, the laundry is piled high, my bathroom shower is growing a fungus, and being on time is now a thing of the past.  Sleep doesn’t exist, insanity is familiar, and stress is now the norm.

Many women choose not to have children because of the exact reasons I wrote above.  I mean, lets face it, getting a shower in to your day with children is a modern day miracle.  But regardless of my expensive makeup being thrown into the toilet, or my nice Nordstroms’ shirt being pooped upon, it’s all too worth it.  We’ve got 3 times the giggles, 3 times the snuggles, and 3 times the joy.  And I wouldn’t trade my life for the world.

Trina - Welcome to the crazy! You will love it:)

Natalie Smith - I met you right after I had Lucy and was barely hanging in there with 3 – you probably thought I was nuts (I think I might have been) Now she is 2 and life is so much more manageable again. Your girls are beautiful!

Beverly - Oh how I love these girls. You are an incredible mother and your girls love you very much. When it all comes down to what is important in life, you are right on in my opinion!!

Ashley Madsen - I love this! So so much! One day… when all one of these stinkin’ fertility treatments works… I need you to shoot my family.

Snuggle those sweet girls for me!

Joyce - Loved the updated pictures of your darling little girls! These times are so busy, but definitely worth it!!! Your experience with your three surely brings back wonderful memories to me with my three girls.

Bobbie Brown - Ohhhhh! How true your words are! I have two little girls and can relate :) Your three are precious. You are so blessed :)

Jennifer O. RomeoandMae - Awe, congrats on your new little one! You have such a beautiful family!

Candice - Wonderful.

Kim - We don’t have children, yet. So thank you for the encouragement. Your children are beautiful!

Valerie (Colibriphoto) - This is absolutely beautiful Melissa. Made my eyes teary… I LOVE your girls outfits! So beautiful! And the pictures are just so tender and loving and pure.

Lyna - I totally agree with you! I just had my fifth baby and now I almost laugh at how “easy” 3 was. Though it wasn’t really easy;) If I had a dollar for every time I hear “Looks like you’ve got your hands full”… Well one hand full, to be exact. And my arms full and my lap full and my heart overflowing. I am blessed. Your girls are beautiful! Like their mama:)
