Moms still love the middle child

Imagine, you’ve had mom to yourself for the entirety of your existence. For all 3 years of your life, you can snuggle with her whenever you want. You are the baby, the one she still carries, the one who makes your world whole. She is yours, all yours…that is until the younger brother comes along.

I recieved a phone call from my brother, Jeff, asking if I could watch “Ratso” while mom was still at the hospital. I was thrilled. But  Jeff gave me a bit of a heads up and shared that Ratso was uneasy.

“I no want to go to the hox-pital. I no want to see mom.”

His whole world was rocked. In his little mind, he was replaced by a fresher, newer, miniature-sized version of himself.    As we geared up, packed the car and headed towards the hospital, we talked about how cool it was to be an older brother.

I don’t know what it’s like to be the middle child, but I DO know that after looking at these pictures, that this beautiful new mom of four still loves her little Ratso.

Welcome to the world, Baby Ethan.  You, too, will most definitely be loved.

Angela - Miss, these are the greatest!!! I love that you can capture the moments with one picture. And 1 day after having the babe, you even managed to make me look good too! I love you so much!!!

Beverly - What beautiful photos of our newest little grandson. Angela did look pretty amazing just the morning after Ethan was born. So glad it was such a great experience for Jeff and Angela’s family and you captured many of the best expressions of joy there in the hospital.
