I’m addicted. Hooked. Passionate. Some might call it a revival. I spent a few New York summers in front of the camera but being on the opposite side of the camera with fashion photography is a whole new world to my little mommy brain.
The preparation that went into making just one of these images is almost exhausting, and I love it. Steven Robertson creating the hair and edge, Michelle Boucher putting in hours of prep time and piecing together the linens, and Paula Dahlberg painting the visual face art. Each one of them brilliant in their own talent. The behind the scenes consisting of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, cameras, lenses, strobes, light boxes and of course the man power and time to set them up. Then, the models; strutting into the spotlight in new character as the photographer attempts to catch beautiful shadows. Next, culling. Thousands of RAW files to sift through, trying to visualize the main objective. Hours of editing. Vision. And art.
