She was long overdue.
It was a waiting game for my sweet sister-in-law, Stormy and my brother Dave. As I walked into their home the night before she was supposed to be induced, I saw an interesting mix of emotions. Stormy’s eyes were puffy. Once the doc told her the plans, she had shed many tears of fear, hope, excitement and wonder. I then strolled my eyes one chair to the right to Dave. As he slowly shoveled roast beef into his mouth, I couldn’t help but chuckle. It was a classic not-sure-what-the-heck-I’m-getting-into face; complete deer in the headlights. At that given moment, reality had set in. The following morning, they were going to be parents.

I woke up to a text message: “She’s dialated to a 9!”
I totally scrambled, dropped my babies off, grabbed the camera, and rushed to the hospital. And there he was. Little Logan David. Completely healthy. Completely perfect.

As I watched David squish and adore his little boy, and admired Stormy’s peaceful countenance, I couldn’t help but be so grateful that I was asked to be there to help capture such a special day.
Tiny baby Logan, you blessed little boy. Welcome to a family of two parents that will love and cherish every inch of you.
