Let your heart be light

It was 3am this morning as I stumbled down the hall to find my daughter sobbing from sore toes.  Growing pains.  I tucked her in, sat by her side, and rubbed each individual piggy toe until she went back to sleep.   In the quiet hours of the morning, my mind wandered as I peered out...

Personal: A Mild Heart Attack

So this is what a heart attack feels like; dizzy spells, difficulty breathing, burning face, hot head, fingernail sensitivity, steam out the ears, increased blood pressure, etc.  If I had it close by, I probably would have done some heavy breathing inside a brown paper bag.  I layed back on the hospital bed as I...

Trina Anderson - Piece of cake..that’s my slogan around here lately;) You are doing great lady. So thrilled for you all!!
Trina
*And, without a doubt, I am sure you would do beautifully with twins. Probably double sling ‘em around on all your photoshoots!

duston todd - yay for melissa and family!!! many congrats.
yeah, i had a similar experience. it took us a while to have our first born, my wife and tried for over a year and so she was put on clomed. everyone was telling us “oh, you’re going to get twins because of that stuff”. i had totally psyched myself up thinking that we were having twins, and yet when we went to the hospital we only saw one heartbeat…one. i was confused. same feelings – confused and let down and relieved all at the same time. and it does make you cherish that one life all the more. one incredible blessing. you have created one incredible life.
congrats!!!!

Amber Oyler Davis - Love the way you write Melissa! Such a great story….Congratulations!!!

Melissa - Trina!!! Not everyone is as talented as you with twins! You could make triplets look easy!

Duston, I can only imagine the time leading up to hearing the heartbeats for you guys…you had much more time than me to over think and get psyched up! But truly, you have the most beautiful little ones running around your house. You are right, what a fantastic blessing.

Cyndee - Your post completely made me tear up :) . Go, you strong-hearted child…

Much love to you and your family, Melissa…thanks for sharing your gift of writing…

Synergy Girl - Oh man!! I would have DIED…but at the same time, I think I understand the brief letdown of the situation. As much as it would be one of the HARDEST things…I am an aunt to twins, and my sister talks so much joy with that sorrow of harness!! Congrats on the new little baby!! Three is the number that means if you can do it…you can do 10, cause you are officially outnumbered (please note that I am not suggesting or trying that theory…just that once you reach three…what’s one more…??)

Crissie McDowell - So exciting! Congrats!

Nicole Klingler - Oh congrats! Blessings and Miracles!!! And little tests that let you know you ARE strong enough!!!

Melissa - Now I am also bummed you are not having two. Could you imagine the CUTENESS! Well there is always next time! ;) Much love.

Candice - Oh man, you seriously had me with my phone in my hands about to call Tim and tell him about the twins. YOU’re TOO GOOD!! Yay!! When do you find out it’s baby boy or girl?

Candice - You seriously had me with phone in hand about to call Tim and tell him about the twins. You’re too good!

Candice - Yay for one healthy baby!!

Laura Farris - Yay for just one baby!!! We’ve got a lot of twins in our family and I’ve always been so relieved when the Doc reassures me there’s only one in there. Congrats!!! I must say though, newborn twin pictures are my fave.
